From the Lamp to Beneath the Counter: Hatco Holding Craft

Founded in Milwaukee in 1950, Hatco carried food holding from the light fixture down into the counter itself. The HWB built-in heated well is sized to standard GN pans and works in hotel buffets and breakfast lines, staff canteen serving lines, hospital and aged-care plating areas, banquet stations and food-hall hot counters. The equipment sits below; guests see the food, not the machine.

 


 

Unseen Equipment. A Finished Buffet.

The unit measures 347 × 553 × 237 mm and takes standard full-size GN pans. Cut-out depends on the countertop: 321 to 328 × 524 to 531 mm for non-combustible surfaces, 356 to 362 × 559 to 565 mm for combustible ones. Both can be prepared at fabrication so the unit drops straight in on delivery.

 

Heat Only When Needed. Longer Service, Same Temperature.

The well senses actual temperature and adds heat only when required, rather than running at full power throughout service. High-watt model, 1650W. Controls are a lighted power switch and a temperature dial.

 

One Less Step at Close. No Corners to Miss.

Drain the well directly at close instead of bailing it out. A large-bore drain with a flat screen keeps cleaning simple and holds pans level. Stainless and aluminised steel housing, metal-sheathed element.
