Swedish specialists in temperature-controlled food transport

Founded in Sweden in 1992, ScanBox has spent more than three decades on a single problem: keeping food at the right temperature and quality all the way from the kitchen to the table. Every unit is designed and manufactured in Sweden. More than 100,000 units have been delivered to over 1,300 customers across more than 60 markets, and ScanBox works in long-term partnership with national culinary teams around the world.

540 mm body, clears lifts and corridors

Hospital corridors, care home meal routes and school production kitchen aisles are planned around roughly this dimension. From ambient through fan-assisted heating to compressor refrigeration, every single-door Ergo Line keeps the same 540 mm body, so it fits the lift and takes the corner. Hospitals and care homes, school production kitchens, staff restaurants and chain restaurant distribution are where this line is most at home.

Dual compartments, independently controlled from 3°C to 90°C

Mains hot, salads cold: until now that meant two trolleys and two trips. ELCFF66 and ELCCF66 carry six levels above and six below, twelve GN1/1 in total, with each compartment controlled separately and an insulated divider between them. Set anywhere from 3°C to 90°C and one trolley covers the whole round. Ambient models can be fitted with factory eutectic plates for short refrigerated runs without power.

5 to 28 containers across one product line

Ergo Line runs from the five-container undercounter unit to a 28-container trolley, with ambient, fan-assisted heating, compressor refrigeration and dual-compartment models sharing one design language. Standardising a whole hospital or campus on a single line keeps operation consistent and makes training and spare parts simple.

ScanBox internal hot and cold air circulation

Fan-assisted heating

Working temperature in 30 minutes. Reaches 90°C within thirty minutes of start-up and recovers quickly through the repeated door openings of a plating round.

ExP construction

Up to 50% better heat retention. Polyurethane insulation panels retain temperature up to 50% better than materials commonly used in stainless steel units; the aluminium interior conducts 14 times better than stainless steel for fast, even heat; the GRP outer shell is lighter than stainless steel and resists dents.

Removable guide rails

9 kg per level. 80 mm spacing, and the rail set lifts out for cleaning, leaving no awkward corners inside the cabinet.
